Valley Fair
Extend your July 4th by enjoying fantastic fireworks every Saturday at 10:00 PM until August 14, 2010!

Valley Fair is the perfect family attraction that you won't want to miss out on during your stay in Bloomington. With over 50 rides and coasters, your day will be sure to be filled with thrills. Also enjoy Valley Fair's Soak City Water Park, the 7 acre waterpark offers hours of wet fun in the sun. Featuring the 350,000 gallon Breakers Bay Wave Pool and a variety of water rides, Soak City Waterpark has something for guests of all ages to enjoy. If that is still not enough, check out Valleyfair's Family Challenge Park located on the southeast corner of the park. This separate attraction features activities such as Adventure Golf and Go-Karts, RipCord Skycoaster and a clubhouse with arcade games.

Make the most of shopping at Mall of America.

  • Start out going North on Normandale Blvd. toward Edina Industrial Blvd/77th St.
  • Merge onto MN-100 S/Normandale Blvd.
  • Take the MN-77 S exit, Exit 2C.
  • Continue to take the left exit, Lindau Lane.
  • Turn a sharp left onto Lindau Lane.
  • End at Mall of America, 60 E. Broadway.

Minnesota Zoo
You will never run out of things to do at the Minnesota Zoo.

Located in Apple Valley, a southern suburb of the Twin Cities, the Minnesota Zoo is just twenty minutes away from Sheraton Bloomington Hotel, Minneapolis South. Caring for over 500 different species and animals, your day will be filled with exciting sites from the tree kangaroos to sea dragons. Watch the sharks and other marine life during their feedings or enjoy a coral reef dive show. At the end of the day, cool off at Central Plaza under the life-sized animal sculpture interactive water fountain.

  • Continue straight to go onto US-169 S.
  • Take the CR-83/Canterbury RD ramp.
  • Turn LEFT onto Canterbury RD S/CR-83 S. Continue to follow CR-83 S.
  • Turn RIGHT onto Dakotah Parkway.
  • Enter next roundabout and take 2nd exit.
  • End at Mystic Lake Casino, 2400 Mystic Lake Blvd.
